Bar Hopping in the Lower East Side again

So after the Todd P show we decided to go out with Lachlan and his friend. I was pretty keen to be out with someone who's lived in New York before. So we got the name of the club, exchanged numbers and caught the subway to the Lower East Side, stopping for Pizza and Soda (omg $2!) on the way.

Pizza:

(I rly need to take photos of the more impressive pizza I've been eating. Currently trying to limit myself to one slice per day)

Subway Camwhoring:

We walked and walked and using my sweet knowledge of New York City Streets (no srsly, I'm awesome at it) we found Motor City. Lachlan introduced us to his friend, Todd, who happened to be the guy who oragnaised the show we were just at. He was very informative about NYC. He described Motor City as a 'faux-grimey bar for rich Lower East Side dwellers to come and look rough and tough'. And looking around the bar it pretty much seemed that way.

(Lachlan left...Todd right)

The bar was a bit shit so we headed down the road toward the Dark Room. We soon realised this was the same place we went the week prior (where the Australian bar tender was). Before we went in Lachlan's friend saw an old (coked-out) 'friend' of his and next minute we were in his tiny one-bedroom apartment drinking his alcohol.

So then we went to the Dark Room, but left after one drink as they were playing bad heavy 80's rock way too loudly. So then it was back to Motor City where we drank, sat and chatted. Was fun to be out with other people. And then before long it was 4am (when all clubs in NYC must close) and Todd gave us a lift home and we went to bed.

I think this blog made it all sound like it wasn't much fun. But it was.
