Apartment @ Bedford-Stuyvesant

Through an internet forum, we've been offered a room in the Williamsburg-adjoining Bedford-Stuyvesent in Brooklyn.

The suburb is not ideal as it's only recently started to undergo gentrification and while we don't exactly want to be staying on Fifth Ave, living in the ghetto ain't ideal either. Maybe a nice balance in between.

On the upside the room would cost us a paltry US$12/night each and the apartment is actually the top floor of a warehouse (with 19ft ceilings) converted into a livable, and very interesting apartment. There's a shitload of pictures of the place undergoing its transformation here.

At the moment we've decided against this place in preference for the Greenpoint apartment mentioned earlier but are still waiting for confirmation of its availability. It's quite comforting to have a Plan B, though.
